After developing their distinctive melodic techno sound in 2013, Mathame, the duo of Matteo and Amedeo Giovanelli, quickly garnered significant industry recognition for their emotive and cinematic productions. Influenced by Matteo’s film direction background and Amedeo’s extensive violin study, their unique aesthetic blossomed across early EPs like ‘Evangea EP’ (2015) and ‘At The Door Of Those Spaces EP’ (2018), securing support from prominent figures such as Tale of Us and the Afterlife Records label. Breakthrough singles ‘Nothing Around Us’ (2018) and ‘Skywalking’ (2019) led to a demanding international tour schedule of 90 to 100 gigs annually.

By 2019, Mathame had also expanded their influence with high-profile remixes for Marc Romboy (‘Moonface’), RÜFÜS DU SOL (‘All i’ve got’), and MEDUZA (‘Lose Control’). In March 2020, Mathame released their pivotal single ‘Never Give Up’ through B1 Recordings/Sony, awarded ‘The Essential New Tune’ by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong. This track solidified their global presence, leading to high-profile remixes from Diplo, Lost Frequencies, ZHU, Adriatique, and Vril. Their prolific output continued in 2020 with the ‘For Every Forever EP’ and ‘Magia (Feat Franchino),’ alongside remixes for Monolink (‘Sinner’) and ZHU (‘Risky Business’).
