Ace Banzuelo

Born on August 10, 2000, in Laguna, Philippines, Ace Banzuelo started singing and performing at age 4. Despite not coming from a musical family and lacking formal training, he continuously pursued his passion, often facing rejection or disqualification from local auditions and singing contests due to age requirements. In high school, Ace contributed his musical talent by creating beats, remixes, and mashups for school dances. He was also appointed president and co-founder of a Multimedia Club/Group, where he wrote, directed, shot, and edited videos. From the age of 12, Ace dedicated himself to self-teaching music production, exploring genres including Indie, Pop, EDM, and Synthwave, while exposing himself to diverse musical cultures from classical to Asian music.

Ace Banzuelo’s career saw a significant turning point at age 17 when he won a local songwriting competition in Laguna, leading to his commitment to sharing his music. He signed with Sony Music Entertainment Philippines after performing at a small show in Manila. His 2020 single “Muli” became a major success, ranking as the seventh highest-charting song on the Billboard Philippines Songs in 2022 over a 22-week tracking period. “Muli” also achieved the status of the most streamed OPM song on Spotify, placing third on Spotify’s Philippines Top 200 and second on the Viral 50 Philippines chart. His debut in 2019 included streaming favorites such as “Malayo,” “Himala,” and “Like Like You.”

As a multi-hyphenated creative, Ace Banzuelo continues to blend neon synths and lush instrumentation with heartfelt lyricism in his work. He has released numerous singles, including “If You Only Knew” (2018), “High On You” (2019), “Mayari” (2021), “Babae” (2022), “Walang Himala” (2022), “Kulang” (2022), “Tadhana” (2023), “Pag-Ibig (Meron Ba?)” (2023), and “Bighani” (2024). His artistry is influenced by international bands like Linkin Park, The 1975, Phoenix, and Daft Punk, as well as DJs such as Skrillex, Zedd, and Avicii. He is currently preparing to release his first full-length album, which will feature his latest single “Walang Himala.”
