Adam Lambert has transitioned from a renowned ‘American Idol’ runner-up to a globally recognized singer, songwriter, and the lead vocalist for Queen + Adam Lambert. After achieving significant solo career milestones, including topping the Billboard charts as an openly gay artist, he now brings his dynamic vocal performances and theatrical style to diverse audiences worldwide. After gaining widespread recognition as the runner-up on the eighth season of ‘American Idol’ in 2009, Adam Lambert released his debut album, ‘For Your Entertainment’, in November 2009, which soared to number three on the U.S. Billboard 200.
Billboard 200 and featured the hit single ‘Ghost Town.’ That same year, he was honored with the British LGBT Awards’ Music Icon award. Expanding his artistic reach beyond music, he lent his voice to animated projects such as ‘Playmobil: The Movie’ and ‘A Tale Dark & Grimm’ (2021). In 2019, Lambert performed with Queen at the 91st Academy Awards and released ‘Velvet: Side A’, which formed half of his fourth studio album. Further solidifying his impact, Lambert founded the Feel Something Foundation for LGBTQ+ human rights in 2019.
The collaborative success with Queen continued in 2020 with the release of ‘Live Around the World’, their first album together, which debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart. His fifth studio album, ‘High Drama’, debuted at number five on the UK Albums Chart in 2023. In 2024, Lambert joined the judging panel for ‘The Voice Australia’ and is set to make his Broadway debut as the Emcee in ‘Cabaret’, and will play Judas Iscariot in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ at the Hollywood Bowl in 2025.
