About

All-4-One is an American R&B and pop group known for their hit singles such as “I Swear,” “So Much in Love,” and “I Can Love You Like That.” The group is composed of Jamie Jones, Delious Kennedy, Alfred Nevarez, and Tony Borowiak, all originating from Antelope Valley and Mojave, California. Their musical journey began when Jones, Borowiak, and Nevarez were performing jingles for KAVS-FM, leading to an opportunity to record “So Much in Love” for Blitzz record label, an Atlantic Records affiliate. Delious Kennedy joined them, forming the quartet. Producers Tim O’Brien and Gary St. Clair were instrumental in assembling the group and producing their early work, with O’Brien also naming the group. Initially, the deal for “So Much in Love” was for a single release, but its success led to the production of their debut album featuring original compositions.

Their career breakthrough came with “I Swear,” which earned them a Grammy Award in 1995 for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. This track held the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 for eleven consecutive weeks, topped the Australian Singles Chart for six weeks, and was number two on the UK Singles Chart for seven weeks. The success of “I Swear” led to it being recognized as the best-selling single of 1994, documented in the Guinness World Book of Records. Other RIAA gold-certified hits include a remake of “So Much in Love” (1993) and “I Can Love You Like That” (1995). They also contributed “Someday” to the multi-platinum soundtrack for Disney’s 1996 animated film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and “I Turn to You” for the 5-time platinum Space Jam Soundtrack.

After a period with Atlantic Records, a dispute between their independent label, Blitzz Records, and Atlantic led to their departure from both after their 1999 album, On & On. They then released A41 in 2001 on AMC Records, which featured “Beautiful as U,” a top 20 hit on the Radio & Records Adult Contemporary chart. The group’s 2004 album, Split Personality, was released exclusively in Asia, yielding regional hits like “Someone Who Lives in Your Heart” and “I Just Wanna Be Your Everything.” Throughout the 2000s, All-4-One toured extensively in Asian cities including Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok, Shanghai, and Sydney. In 2009, they released No Regrets under the Peak Records/Concord Music Group label, an album largely self-produced and written, which included the Urban Adult Contemporary hit “My Child.” The group celebrated their 20th anniversary with the album Twenty+ in 2015, featuring 14 new songs and six of their greatest hits. All-4-One has also had their music featured in films such as Sisters, Despicable Me, Earth To Echo, Just Friends, The Social Network, and Nothing To Lose, and continue to tour as the original members.
