Chuck Ragan

Chuck Ragan is a respected musician and songwriter, known for his impactful work with Hot Water Music and his extensive solo acoustic career. His journey includes significant contributions to punk rock and folk-inspired music, touring globally, and developing unique collaborative musical initiatives. After becoming the lead singer and guitarist for the punk rock band Hot Water Music in October 1994, Chuck Ragan went on to establish a significant career in music, touring globally and contributing impactful work across punk rock, folk, and alt-country genres. Hot Water Music developed a dedicated following, performing extensively across the United States, Europe, and Australia before an initial disbandment in 2005.

This partnership led to a productive 2024, seeing the release of Hot Water Music’s latest album, Vows, further solidifying the band’s enduring presence in the punk rock scene. Simultaneously, Ragan unveiled his newest solo album, Love and Lore, through Rise Records in 2024, continuing to evolve his distinct folk-inspired sound. Throughout his career, Ragan has maintained a consistent output of releases, including a series of 7-inches on No Idea Records and notable split albums and collaborations with artists such as Austin Lucas and Rocky Votolato. He continues to tour extensively, performing both solo and with Hot Water Music, engaging audiences across the United States, Europe, and Australia, underscoring his lasting influence and commitment to his craft.
