Natalie Bergman

Natalie Bergman, born in 1988 or 1989 in Barrington, Illinois, began her musical journey in a family deeply rooted in the arts. Her early life was marked by significant personal experiences, including the loss of her mother at 16, which prompted her to use songwriting as a means of expression. She attended Francis W. Parker School in Chicago and later studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston. Bergman started her career performing with her older brother Elliot Bergman’s Afrobeat band, Nomo, contributing vocals to their 2011 single “Upside Down.” This collaboration laid the groundwork for their future projects.

In 2011, Natalie and Elliot formed the psychedelic pop duo Wild Belle, with Natalie handling vocals, drums, piano, and guitar. Wild Belle released their debut album, “Isles,” through Columbia Records in 2013, which featured tracks like “Keep You” and “Shine,” used in notable film and television productions such as “Pitch Perfect,” “The Way, Way Back,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “The Vampire Diaries.” The duo continued to release music, including “Dreamland” (2016) and “Everybody One of a Kind” (2019). Beyond Wild Belle, Natalie collaborated with artists like Diplo and DJEMBA DJEMBA, co-writing Major Lazer’s 2015 track “Be Together.”

Following personal tragedies in 2019, including the death of her father and stepmother, Natalie Bergman embarked on a solo career. Her debut solo album, “Mercy,” released in 2021 on Third Man Records, was a critically acclaimed gospel-folk album reflecting on grief and spirituality. She released two EPs, “Live at Electric Lady” (2021) and “Keep Those Teardrops From Falling” (2021), and collaborated with Beck on a cover and remix in 2021. Her second solo album, “My Home Is Not in This World,” was released in July 2025 by Third Man Records, exploring themes of new love and belonging after profound loss, solidifying her career progression as a versatile and introspective artist.
