Rob Mills

Rob Mills is an accomplished Australian actor, singer, television host, and author, recognized for his extensive work in musical theatre, television dramas, and as a popular media personality. After gaining public recognition as a finalist on the first season of Australian Idol in 2003, Rob Mills signed with BMG and released his debut album, ‘Up All Night,’ in June 2004, which featured seven co-written tracks. His first single, ‘Ms. Vanity,’ achieved Gold status and debuted at number 6 on the Australian charts.

His portrayal of Sam in ‘Ghost the Musical’ in 2016 earned him a Helpmann Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. He later played Jesus Christ in ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ (2017) and Cedric Diggory and Voldemort in the Australian performance of ‘Puffs’ (2018). Beyond his musical theatre success, Mills established a significant presence in television acting and presenting. He appeared in ‘Winners & Losers’ (2011) and ‘Underbelly: Razor’ as Eric Connelly (2011), and hosted the revamped ‘Young Talent Time’ (2012).

In 2013, he competed on ‘The Celebrity Apprentice Australia,’ winning $40,000 for charity. He joined the cast of ‘Neighbours’ in 2016, playing the role of teacher Finn Kelly from 2017 to 2022, a performance that garnered him Best Actor at the UK Soap Awards. In 2019, he was the runner-up as ‘Wolf’ on ‘The Masked Singer Australia.’ In early 2022, Rob Mills released his first book, ‘Putting On A Show – Manhood, Mates and Mental Health.’ He took on the role of Corny Collins in ‘Hairspray’ later in 2022. In 2023, he was named King of Moomba for the Moomba Festival and played Shakespeare in the Australian production of ‘& Juliet.’ His diverse career continues to encompass stage, screen, and literary achievements, making him a prominent figure across Australia’s entertainment landscape.
