Vertical Worship

Vertical Worship, initially known as Vertical Church Band, began in 2012 as a group of worship leaders and songwriters from Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicagoland. Their mission has consistently been to guide people in Christ-centered worship. They released their debut album, “Live Worship from Vertical Church,” in 2012. This was followed by “The Rock Won’t Move” in 2013, which reached number 2 on the Christian Albums chart. Their 2015 album, “Church Songs,” not only topped the Christian Albums chart but was also recognized as one of Worship Leader’s Best Albums of 2015. The song “Spirit of the Living God” was listed among the top worship songs of that year.

Over the years, Vertical Worship continued to release music, including “Frontiers” in 2016 and a self-titled album, “Vertical Worship,” in 2017. In 2018, their song “Yes I Will” was certified Gold and earned a Dove Award nomination for Worship Song of the Year. The group released “Bright Faith Bold Future” in 2018 and “Grace Is On Our Side” in 2020. After a period of reflection, the group re-emerged with renewed passion and new music, maintaining its core mission. They released their album “Build an Altar” on September 6, 2024.

Vertical Worship’s discography includes several EPs such as “Vertical EP” (2013), “White EP” (2014), “Planetarium EP” (2018), and “Yes I Will – EP” (2019). Their music has consistently appeared on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart, with multiple albums landing in the Top 10. The group’s impact is evident in the widespread encouragement their songs provide to churches globally, reinforcing their commitment to worship rooted in Scripture, rich in truth, and full of hope.
