Aaron Chalmers was born on May 26, 1987, in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. Before gaining public recognition, he worked as a scaffolder on an oil rig. His television career began in 2014 when he joined the cast of the reality show “Geordie Shore” for its eighth series, staying with the program until season 16 in 2018. He also appeared in the sixth series of “Ex on the Beach” in 2017. In 2019, Chalmers returned to MTV, starring in the spin-off series “Geordie Shore OGs,” further establishing his presence in reality television.
Chalmers ventured into mixed martial arts (MMA) in 2017 after previously training in Muay Thai. He made his professional MMA debut in May 2017 with BAMMA, securing a win against Greg Jenkins via submission. He continued his successful run with BAMMA, achieving two more victories that year—a knockout against Alex Thompson and a TKO against Karl Donaldson. In March 2018, Chalmers signed with Bellator MMA, a major promotion. His first Bellator fight in May 2018 at Bellator 200 resulted in a technical submission win over Ash Griffiths. He faced his first professional loss in February 2019 against Corey Browning. He later returned to the win column in June 2019 with a submission victory over Fred Freeman. His final MMA bout in February 2020 at Bellator 240 resulted in a unanimous decision loss to Austin Clem. Chalmers officially retired from MMA on February 18, 2021.
Following his MMA retirement, Chalmers transitioned to boxing. He made his professional boxing debut in June 2022, securing a points victory against Alexander Zeledon. In February 2023, he faced former boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a high-profile exhibition bout at the O2 Arena in London, which went the full eight rounds without an official verdict. Later in 2023, he participated in another exhibition boxing match against Kiefer Crosbie, losing by unanimous decision. In September 2023, Chalmers fought Idris Virgo in a professional boxing match, losing by TKO. His latest venture is bare-knuckle boxing, signing with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). He made his BKFC debut in April 2025, winning by TKO against Chas Symonds, and secured another TKO victory against Jack Fincham in September 2025.
