Adam Anderson

Adam Anderson was born on October 19, 1999. He attended Rome High School in Rome, Georgia. During his senior year in 2017, Anderson showcased his athletic abilities, recording 63 tackles, 10 sacks, and an interception. His performance earned him recognition as The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s high school football player of the year and secured his selection to the 2018 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. As a five-star recruit, Anderson committed to play college football for the University of Georgia, marking a significant step in his athletic career.

Anderson’s collegiate career at the University of Georgia began in 2018. As a true freshman, he played in all 14 games, contributing 16 tackles and 0.5 sacks. His performance continued to develop in 2019, where he again participated in all 14 games, achieving six tackles and two sacks. In his junior year in 2020, Anderson played in all 10 games, accumulating 14 tackles and 6.5 sacks, demonstrating consistent improvement in his role. He opted to return for his senior season in 2021, rather than entering the NFL draft. In 2021, he played in eight games, starting one, and recorded 32 total stops, leading the team with 5.0 QB sacks through eight games and ranking second in QB pressures with 15. His career highs included 7 tackles against Florida in 2021, 6 QB pressures against Auburn in 2020 and Cincinnati in 2021, and 2 QB sacks against Auburn in 2020 and Cincinnati in 2021. He was also named a game captain for the Florida game and was on the pre-season watch list for the Butkus Award, an honor for the nation’s top collegiate linebacker. His final season concluded with 32 tackles and five sacks.
