Adam Edelman

Adam Edelman, an Olympian who represented Israel in skeleton and bobsled, leverages his athletic journey to advocate for anti-bullying and increased LGBTQ+ representation in sports. After graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2014 with a degree in mechanical engineering, Adam Edelman achieved a top-3 medal finish at the NGA Annapolis Bodybuilding Championships in 2014. During his time at MIT, Edelman was a member of the men’s hockey team, notably the program’s first Sabbath-observant player, and contributed as a staff editorial columnist for The Tech newspaper. His unique journey began in March 2014 when he ventured into skeleton, notably teaching himself the sport primarily through YouTube videos.

Following his skeleton career, Edelman set his sights on bobsled, attempting to qualify an Israeli bobsled team for the 2022 Beijing Olympics. In 2023, he made history by securing Israel’s first-ever sanctioned bobsled podium. This achievement was followed by another significant milestone in 2024, when Edelman became the first Israeli to secure the overall podium on the North American Cup. His professional impact was recognized in 2021 when he was named a European Forbes 30 Under 30 in the Sports and Games category.

Currently pursuing an MBA at Yale School of Management, Adam Edelman continues to train for the 2026 Olympic Games. He leverages his extensive athletic platform to promote Jewish and Israeli involvement in sports, while also championing social causes including anti-bullying and increased LGBTQ+ representation in sports.
