Addy Miller began her career as a child model at the age of four, later transitioning into acting. Her first significant acting role came at age eight when she portrayed Young Lily in “The Secret Life of Bees” (2008). Miller gained widespread recognition for her role as the Little Girl/Teddy Bear Walker in the pivotal opening scene of AMC’s “The Walking Dead” (2010). This performance, filmed when she was ten, earned her titles such as “Instant Horror Legend” and specific direction from Frank Darabont, working with Greg Nicotero, and interacting with Andrew Lincoln and Sarah Wayne Callies. She performed her own stunts for this role, which was later named “Summer” in The Walking Dead Social Game on Facebook.
Following her appearance on “The Walking Dead,” Miller made numerous public appearances at horror and comic conventions globally. Her filmography expanded with roles such as Luna in the children’s movie “Sugar Skull Girls” (2014) and Young Krissi Cates in “Dark Places” (2015), which starred Charlize Theron and Chloe Grace Moretz. Other notable roles include Mary Jane in the short film “Death and Mary Jane” and Melissa in “Remnants” (with Tom Sizemore). She also portrayed Alifair McCoy in “Bad Blood: The Hatfields and McCoys,” working alongside Christian Slater and Jeff Fahey, among others. Miller’s love for filmmaking extends to behind-the-scenes work, where she has explored various crew roles.
Miller is currently a student at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC, pursuing a degree in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations and planning a minor in Journalism. She has consistently made the Dean’s List and is the PR Chair for the National Honor Fraternity Phi Sigma Pi – Beta Delta. Her recent acting projects include a lead role as Olivia in the film “Behind You” (2020), which was released nationally and internationally. During her senior year of college, she also filmed “Abandoned” (2022) with Emma Roberts, taking advantage of its proximity to her university to balance her studies and acting commitments.
