When it comes to League of Legends, Aiden Moon is considered an expert. Whether he’s commentating at the National Championship Series or playing the game in front of his 32K Twitch followers, Moon’s built a lucrative career around a popular videogame.
It all started in fourth grade when Moon broke his femur in a biking accident. While he was recovering, his parents bought him his first Gameboy, introducing him to the game, Pokémon Red. Afterwards, he explored computer videogames, reaching a competitive level at World of Warcraft, before League of Legends came out in 2009. By then, he started competing at college, reaching victory at the University of California-Irvine tournament two semesters in a row.
Upon joining the professional gaming world, Moon had a knack for E-sports broadcasting. He first performed shoutcasting duties for the High School Star League until he became one of the faces of Riot Games—the gaming company that started League of Legends. With Riot Games, his first commentary was on the 2014 NA Challenger Series, eventually leading him to shoutcast on the League of Legends National Championship Series year after year. Most recently, he casted during the Tyler1 Championship Series. Outside of commentary, Moon also lends his voice to ProGuides.com, to serve as a narrator and virtual instructor on various competitive videogames.
As a gamer, Moon also streams his gameplay on Twitch under the name “Zirene.” And in addition to his tens of thousands of followers on Twitch, Moon has nearly hit 100K followers on Instagram, to date.
