About

Amber Nash, a native of Lilburn, Georgia, pursued a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia State University before transitioning into the entertainment industry. Her interest in improv began during her college years, leading her to sign up for classes. After graduation, she worked for the State of Georgia at a Wilderness Camp for troubled teens, utilizing her psychology degree. In 2004, she committed to acting full-time, becoming an ensemble member and Education Director at Dad’s Garage Theatre in Atlanta. Concurrently, she performed with Laughing Matters and engaged in voiceover work for local radio. This period marked a crucial shift towards her career in acting and comedy.

Her entry into television voiceover occurred when Matt Thompson and Adam Reed of Floyd County Productions cast her in their Adult Swim series “Frisky Dingo,” where she voiced Val and other characters. This collaboration led to her prominent role as Pam Poovey on the FX/FXX animated series “Archer,” which premiered in 2009. “Archer” has received critical acclaim, earning two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Critics Choice Television Award for Best Animated Series. Nash’s portrayal of Pam Poovey has been recognized as a significant element of the show’s success, with BuzzFeed referring to the character as the “real hero of Archer.” Beyond “Archer,” her voiceover work includes a guest role on Cartoon Network’s “Aqua Teen Hunger Force.” She has also appeared in other animated projects like “America: The Motion Picture” (2021) and “Dead Boy Detectives” (2024).

Nash’s career extends to live-action roles and stage work. She received an Indie Series Award nomination for Best Actress in Comedy for her performance in the web series “Hart of America.” She has continuously engaged in teaching, creating, and writing shows, performing in numerous improv shows across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Her stage credits include collaborations with Second City in Atlanta at the Alliance Theatre and for Norwegian Cruise Lines. Nash is also a co-founder of The Doug Dank Project at Push Push Theatre and a member of Catch 23. She has also written the book “Improv for Couples: Fun Games for You and Your Partner.”
