Dov Davidoff, born on September 22, 1973, in Englishtown, New Jersey, began his career in comedy, performing in clubs and colleges across the United States. His early life was shaped by his father’s junkyard business in Englishtown. Davidoff transitioned his comedic talents to acting, securing guest spots on notable procedural dramas such as “Third Watch” and “Law & Order.” These early television appearances laid the groundwork for a diverse career that would see him perform on various late-night talk shows and contribute to significant film projects.
His acting career gained momentum with a supporting role in the 2006 football drama “Invincible,” where he appeared alongside Mark Wahlberg. In 2007, Davidoff became a regular on the detective series “Raines,” further establishing his presence in television. His comedic work was highlighted with the release of his CD, “The Point Is..,” on Comedy Central Records in 2008, showcasing his stand-up abilities. He held a recurring role as Internal Affairs Detective Verco in 18 episodes of the NBC cop drama “Shades of Blue” from 2017 to 2018, where he acted alongside Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta. Concurrently, he appeared in 8 episodes of HBO’s “Crashing” from 2017 to 2019, playing the role of Jason. His film credits also include “Hustlers” in 2019, where he played a manager, and “Ezra” in 2023, where he played a character named Dov Davidoff. He is slated to appear in “Law & Order: Organized Crime” in 2025 for two episodes. Davidoff has also been a regular round table guest on “Chelsea Lately” on E! and has performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” and his own 2010 comedy special, “Dov Davidoff: Filthy Operation.”
