Amos Mosaner was born on March 12, 1995, in Trento, Italy. He began his curling career as a junior, representing Italy in four World Junior Curling Championships. A notable early achievement was leading the Italian mixed team to a silver medal at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics in Innsbruck. During his junior career, he also skipped the Italian men’s team, leading them to a 4th-place finish at the 2014 European Curling Championships, which qualified Italy for the 2015 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship. Initially employed as a farmer, Mosaner later became a full-time curler.
Mosaner’s career progression saw him move to the third position on the men’s team in the 2016-17 season. He contributed to Italy winning their first European Championship medal since 1979, a bronze at the 2018 European Curling Championships. A pivotal moment came at the 2018 Winter Olympic Qualification Event, where his team secured Italy’s spot in the 2018 Winter Olympics. His mixed doubles career also progressed significantly, winning the Italian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in 2019 and 2020 with Alice Cobelli.
The pinnacle of Mosaner’s career came at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where he partnered with Stefania Constantini in mixed doubles. The pair achieved an undefeated record, winning Italy’s first Olympic curling medal, a gold, by defeating Norway 8-5 in the final. This historic win solidified his standing in Italian curling history. Following his Olympic success, he continued to achieve Grand Slam victories in men’s curling with Joël Retornaz’s team, including the 2022 Masters, 2023 Tour Challenge, 2023 National, and 2023 Masters.
