Amy Childs

Amy Andrea Childs was born on June 7, 1990, in Barking, London, later relocating to Brentwood, Essex. Her television career began in 2010 as an original cast member of the ITV2 reality series “The Only Way Is Essex” (TOWIE). She gained rapid recognition during her initial two series, playing a key role in popularizing the “vajazzle.” Following her departure from TOWIE in 2011, Childs moved on to other television projects, including her own reality series, “It’s All About Amy,” on Channel 5 from 2011 to 2012. Throughout this period, she also established herself as a model, featuring in magazines such as Vogue, and contributed as a columnist for “New!” magazine, alongside a regular fashion segment on ITV’s “This Morning.”

Childs further expanded her television presence by participating in “Celebrity Big Brother 8” in 2011, where she placed fourth. Her career progression continued with participation in reality shows like “Let’s Dance for Sport Relief” (2012), “The Bank Job” (2012), and “The Jump” (2014). After a break, she returned to “The Only Way Is Essex” in 2020, reuniting with her cousin Harry Derbidge, demonstrating her enduring connection to the show that launched her career. In 2020, she also appeared in the E4 reality program “Celebs Go Dating” and later starred in her own spin-off, “Amy Childs: The Twin Life,” in 2023.

Beyond her television work, Amy Childs has developed business interests, owning beauty salons and product lines. She has engaged in brand partnerships, notably launching “Amy x Liquid Diamond” Prosecco in collaboration with Liquid Diamond, with a portion of the proceeds supporting Mental Health First Aider courses.
