Sam Howell

Sam Howell is a professional quarterback who has played for multiple NFL teams, including the Washington Commanders, Seattle Seahawks, Minnesota Vikings, and currently the Philadelphia Eagles. After becoming the first true freshman to start at quarterback for the University of North Carolina, Sam Howell went on to set multiple school records, including 38 touchdown passes in a single season and 10,283 career passing yards. His collegiate prowess began earlier, developing his skills at Sun Valley High School where he amassed 13,415 passing yards, 145 touchdowns, 3,621 rushing yards, and 60 rushing touchdowns. At North Carolina, Howell immediately made an impact, earning ACC Rookie of the Year honors in 2019 and being named Third-team All-ACC the same year, alongside securing the 2019 Military Bowl MVP title.

The following year, in April 2025, he moved to the Minnesota Vikings, before being traded again in August 2025 to his current team, the Philadelphia Eagles. Throughout these moves, Howell has maintained a professional commitment to developing his game and contributing to his teams within the competitive NFL landscape.
