Australian professional rower Annabelle McIntyre is a national representative rowing champion having won multiple medals at the World Championships.
After taking up rowing in her teens, McIntyre joined the Fremantle Rowing Club in 2013 before making her state rowing debut in 2014 at the Australian Rowing Championships before going on to win a gold during 2018 in the women’s eight event, as well as the women’s coxless four national title. More recently McIntyre competed in the New South Wales State Championships during which she won gold in the women’s elite pair and the elite coxless four. Of McIntyre’s international successes, she won her first medal during 2017 at U23 World Championships in Bulgaria, where she won a silver in the women’s coxless pair event, alongside her teammate Bronwyn Cox. The following year, McIntyre went on to represent Australia in the Senior World Championships held in Bulgaria, where she took home a bronze medal in the women’s eight. More recently in 2019, McIntyre continued to prove her athletic success when she won two silver medals at the World Championships, held in Austria when she competed in the coxless pair and the women’s eight events.
Participating in the 2019 World Championships coxless pair event, alongside her teammate Jessica Morrison, the teams successful silver medal win, saw them qualify to represent Australia in the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympic Games.
