French entrepreneur Laurice Rahmé is the president and founder of iconic New York-based perfume house Bond No. 9. Rahmé has won numerous accolades and awards throughout her career, including Beauty/Fragrance Entrepreneur Rising Star Award at the 9th annual Rising Star Awards in 2006. Named Business Woman of the Year by the Fragrance Foundation’s Business Advisory Council Committee, she has also sat on the board of directors for the Foundation. With 5 eponymous boutiques in New York, Bond No. 9 is also sold at some of the world’s most prestigious stores including Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Harrods.
Born and raised in Paris, France, Rahmé studied art history at the École du Louvre before starting her professional life as an antiques dealer. After opening her own successful shop, she swapped antiques for cosmetics and joined Lancôme as International Training Director in 1973, helping to triple sales for the company’s skincare business in the Middle East. Rahmé’s entrepreneurial talent then landed her the role of Director of the Lancome Institut de Beauté. In 1995 she became the US distributor of the iconic Creed fragrances before launching her own fragrance company, Bond No. 9, in 2003. Four years later the company created new fragrances with bottle designs inspired by Andy Warhol and bearing the artist’s name after starting a licensing partnership and collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation for Visual Arts.
