Anthony Norman is an actor and multi-instrumentalist known for his significant contributions to Broadway, national tours, film, and television. After joining the Original Broadway Cast of The Prom in 2018, Anthony Norman quickly established himself as a versatile actor and multi-instrumentalist across stage and screen. He had previously showcased his talents in the Netflix film Newsies Live! in 2017 and embarked on the National Tour of Newsies, where he played Oscar and understudied the lead role of Jack Kelly.
Building on this foundation, Norman further cemented his stage career by taking on the lead role of Evan Hansen in the First National Tour of Dear Evan Hansen from 2021 through 2023, earning critical recognition for his vocal talent and ability to convey complex emotion. Norman’s foundational training includes a BFA in Musical Theatre from Millikin University, which informed his early career performances in Chicago’s theater scene at venues such as Drury Lane Theatre and Porchlight Music Theatre, as well as solo shows at Davenport’s piano bar. A proficient multi-instrumentalist, he masters piano, guitar, saxophone, clarinet, flute, ukulele, bass guitar, and accordion. He has also performed solo concerts at The Green Room 42, Joes Pub, and Feinsteins/54 Below in New York City.
Looking ahead to 2025, Norman is set to star as Jimmy Harper in Los Angeles 25th Anniversary Revival of Reefer Madness. The same year, he will also star as Mark/Hard Harry in Pump Up The Volume at the Hudson Theatre in Los Angeles. These upcoming projects underscore his sustained demand for leading roles in significant theatrical productions, reinforcing his established career trajectory across both coast-to-coast stage and national screen appearances.
