Aza Raskin

Aza Raskin is a technology ethicist and entrepreneur, known for co-founding the Center for Humane Technology and the Earth Species Project, advocating for technology that serves humanity and nature. After working with his father on the Archy software at the Raskin Center for Humane Interfaces in 2004, Aza Raskin founded Humanized in 2005, where he continued the Archy paradigm and developed the Enso software. During this period, Raskin also gained recognition for discovering the tabnabbing phishing attack. His early entrepreneurial ventures included founding Songza, a music meta-search tool acquired by Amie Street in 2008 and later powering features for Google Play, and co-founding Bloxes, which produced cardboard furniture.

Currently, Raskin co-hosts the acclaimed podcast ‘Your Undivided Attention’ and holds an influential role on the World Economic Forum’s Global Artificial Intelligence Counsel. His thought leadership has been recognized with features such as appearing on the cover of Off Screen Magazine in 2018. In 2019, he served as a guest curator for Ars Electronica’s 40th anniversary exhibit, and his ongoing work as a National Geographic Explorer since 2022 continues to drive innovation at the intersection of technology, ethics, and environmental stewardship.
