Baron Davis

Named Gatorade National Player of the Year in 1997, California Mr. Basketball in 1997, and a Parade All-American in 1997, Baron Davis quickly established himself as a standout basketball talent. He played in the McDonald’s All-American High School Basketball Game in 1997 before attending the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) from 1997 to 1999. During his college career, he earned Pac-10 Freshman of the Year in 1998 and Third-team All-American honors in 1999, averaging 13.6 points and 5.1 assists per game.

Davis was then selected as the third overall pick in the 1999 NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets, embarking on a distinguished 14-year professional career. During his 14-year professional career, Davis played for the Charlotte Hornets, New Orleans Hornets, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks. He earned two NBA All-Star selections in 2002 and 2004, and was named to the All-NBA Third Team in 2004. Demonstrating exceptional defensive prowess, Davis twice led the league in steals in 2004 and 2007, and holds the NBA career playoff record for steals per game with an average of 2.28 over 50 games.
