Beanie Wells

Beanie Wells is a former NFL running back known for his powerful collegiate career at Ohio State and his professional tenure with the Arizona Cardinals. After being recognized as a Parade All-American and U.S. Army All-American Bowl MVP in 2006, Beanie Wells quickly established himself as a dominant force in collegiate football at Ohio State University. During his freshman year in 2006, Wells made an immediate impact, contributing to the Buckeyes’ success and scoring a pivotal 52-yard touchdown run against Michigan that secured the lead.

In his sophomore season in 2007, he became the team’s primary starting running back, leading the Big Ten Conference in rushing attempts. That year, he delivered historic performances, rushing for 221 yards against Michigan State on October 20, 2007, and an impressive 222 yards against Michigan on November 17, 2007, marking the second-highest total by an Ohio State running back against Michigan. His exceptional collegiate career earned him First-team All-Big Ten and Second-team All-American honors in 2007, culminating in him being named Ohio State’s team MVP in 2008. Wells transitioned his collegiate success to the professional ranks, being selected by the Arizona Cardinals as the 31st overall pick in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft.

His NFL career concluded following a significant Achilles tendon injury in 2013.
