Beau Bokan

Beau Mark Bokan was born on November 30, 1981, in Huntington Beach, California. He began his musical career as the lead vocalist for the band Take the Crown, releasing several works with them, including “Take the Crown” (2006), “Let the Games Begin” (2006), and “Relapse React” (2008). In September 2008, Bokan joined Blessthefall, replacing the previous vocalist, Craig Mabbitt. This marked a significant turning point in his career, establishing his role in the prominent metalcore scene.

With Blessthefall, Bokan recorded five studio albums. These included “Witness” (2009), “Awakening” (2011), “Hollow Bodies” (2013), “To Those Left Behind” (2015), and “Hard Feelings” (2018). His tenure with the band saw them achieve international recognition and build a dedicated fanbase. After a hiatus in 2020, Blessthefall returned in May 2023, releasing their first new song in five years, “Wake the Dead.” The band later released their album “Gallows” in 2025, a project that Bokan described as being created with newfound freedom and excitement, allowing for a more organic songwriting process.

Beyond his band work, Bokan has made guest appearances on tracks by other artists, such as Greeley Estates in 2010 and Atreyu in 2010. He also contributed to a song on his wife, Lights’, album “Little Machines” in 2014. Bokan is known for his straight edge lifestyle, his Roman Catholic faith, and has been vegetarian since 2017. His career demonstrates a sustained presence in the metalcore genre, adapting to industry changes while maintaining his artistic integrity and reconnecting with the core passion for music.
