Bethany Balcer

Bethany Balcer is a prominent professional soccer player known for her goal-scoring abilities in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). After becoming the first NAIA player to join an NWSL club, Bethany Balcer signed with Reign FC on a supplemental contract in 2019. Prior to her professional career, Balcer built a formidable collegiate record at Spring Arbor University from 2015 to 2019, where she was a four-year starter on the varsity team. During her tenure, the Cougars advanced to the NAIA Final Four every year, securing two national titles.

Her individual performance was further highlighted by earning NWSL Player of the Week honors for Weeks 12 and 16 in 2021. On the international front, she made her debut with the United States women’s national soccer team in November 2021 against Australia. Balcer’s contributions also extended to significant team successes, including winning the NWSL Shield with OL Reign in 2022 and securing The Women’s Cup in the same year. In August 2024, Balcer transitioned to a new chapter in her NWSL career, being traded to Racing Louisville FC.

She made her debut for the club just five days after the trade and swiftly made her mark by scoring her first goal for Racing Louisville FC on September 14, 2024.
