Bethany Brown

Bethany Brown, originally from Burnaby, BC, spent her early years on a 100-acre farm in the Okanagan. Her musical foundation began at age three with classical music, and by nine, she was a multi-award-winning professional violinist. After moving to Vancouver at 17 to play collegiate soccer for Simon Fraser University, a foot injury led her to return to the arts, marking a significant turning point in her career towards acting and music.

Brown has appeared in numerous television series and films. Her television credits include recurring roles in ABC’s “The Good Doctor” (2020–2024), CW’s “Charmed” (2021), “The 100” (2019), and “The Flash” (2018). She has also guest-starred on shows like The CW’s “Wild Cards” (2024), NBC’s “The Irrational” (2025), and CBS’ “Watson” (2025). Her film work includes “F*** Marry Kill” (2024) from Buzzfeed and Lionsgate, “The Idea of You” (2024), and “Operation Christmas Drop” (2020). Beyond acting, Brown directed, produced, and composed music for her short film “Meet Me en Rêve,” which received Best Indie Short Film at the Los Angeles Movie and Music Video Awards and Best LGBTQ Short at the Paris International Short Film Festival and the Markham International Film Festival in 2024. This film also earned multiple nominations at the Seattle Film Festival and Hang Onto Your Shorts Film Festival in New York for categories including Best LGBTQ Short and Best Original Song. Her work as a voice actress includes roles in “The Supernatural Academy” (2022) and “Lego Ninjago: Dragons Rising” (2023–2024), for which she received a 2022 UBCP/ACTRA Award nomination.

Her achievements extend to two 2023 Leo Award nominations, one for Best Supporting Actor in “A Christmas to Savour” (2021) and another for Best Performance in an Animation Series for “The Supernatural Academy.” She co-hosted the Leo Awards in both 2023 and 2024. In 2022, she was recognized with Best Supporting Actress at the Paris Short Film Festival and Best Actor at the Symbiotic and IndieX Film Festivals for her performance in the short film “Gnaw.” On stage, she earned a 2020 Jessie Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in the play “Disgraced.” Her children’s music project, The Treebees, launched in 2021, garnered over 10 million views per episode on YouTube and received Grammy and Juno nominations, demonstrating her broad artistic talents.
