Beverley Mitchell

Beverley Ann Mitchell, born on January 22, 1981, in Arcadia, California, began her acting career at a young age. Her early work included several guest roles in television programs, such as her debut TV role in the series “Big Brother Jake” in 1990. She also portrayed a young Nancy Sinatra in the CBS biographical miniseries “Sinatra” in 1992. Mitchell’s acting career progressed with her first large film role in “The Crow: City of Angels” in 1996, where she played a teenaged drug addict named Grace.

Mitchell achieved widespread recognition for her role as Lucy Camden on “7th Heaven,” which aired from 1996 to 2007. During her time on the show, she balanced her acting commitments with her education, graduating from high school in 1999 and subsequently studying film production at Loyola Marymount University. Beyond her popular television role, Mitchell expanded her career by starring in the Disney Channel television film “Right on Track” in 2003 and the horror film “Saw II” in 2005. In 2007, she released a self-titled country album, which reached number 30 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

Her career continued to evolve with a recurring role as Kaitlin O’Malley on the ABC Family series “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” from 2011 to 2013. Mitchell also embraced a new type of project by starring as a fictionalized version of herself in the Pop series “Hollywood Darlings” from 2017 to 2018, alongside fellow child stars Jodie Sweetin and Christine Lakin. More recently, in 2024, she announced that she would co-host a “7th Heaven” rewatch podcast, “Catching Up with the Camdens,” with her former co-stars Mackenzie Rosman and David Gallagher, demonstrating her continued engagement with her foundational work.
