Born in Brisbane, Australia, in 1975 to parents who emigrated as Ten Pound Poms, Scott Miller developed an early and strong affinity for animals, aspiring to become a vet from the age of seven. He pursued his passion by studying veterinary medicine in Queensland. Upon graduation, he began his professional career with the RSPCA in Sydney, a role that provided him with extensive experience in animal care and insight into human-animal relationships. In 2024, Dr. Miller opened a new Surrey practice, The Chobham Vet, located in a 500-year-old building. He also launched a new YouTube channel and show, “The Rescue Vet,” emphasizing his return to his roots in animal rescue and shining a light on the critical work of rescue centers amid a global animal rescue crisis. Diagnosed with autism in 2024, Dr. Miller acknowledges that his busy schedule is a coping mechanism. He continues to blend entertainment with educational messages, using his influence to champion the needs of animals and support charities. He is also a patron of several animal welfare organizations, reinforcing his dedication to animal well-being.
