Brandon Carr

Brandon Carr, a distinguished NFL veteran, was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round (140th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft, becoming the highest-drafted player from Grand Valley State. During his collegiate tenure, he played in 49 games, starting 41, and amassed 206 tackles (147 solo), 11 interceptions, and 39 pass deflections. In 2007, his senior season saw him earn the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Back of the Year honor, recording 45 tackles, two interceptions, and 13 defended passes. His NFL rookie season with the Chiefs immediately showcased his capabilities, as he started all 16 games, tallying 73 combined tackles, six pass deflections, and two interceptions.

He concluded his distinguished playing career with a second stint at the Dallas Cowboys in 2020.
