The dedicated sportsman Brandon Finnegan is a professional baseball pitcher within the Chicago White Sox organisation. He has also played for the Kansas City Royals and the Cincinnati Reds of MLB. He was the first player in baseball history to play in the College World Series and the World Series in the same year (2014).
Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Finnegan was a natural on the baseball diamond during his High School years, being drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 2011 MLB draft while he was still in his senior year. However, he decided to continue his education and attended the Texas Christian University. He played college baseball and briefly turned out for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League during the summer.
After graduating, Finnegan was considered a top prospect for the 2014 MLB draft and was selected in the first round by the Kansas City Royals. He made his Major League debut in September. In 2015 he began the season with the Royals’s minor league affiliate the Omaha Storm Chasers, and was later promoted back to the majors. In July he was traded to the Cincinnati Reds, and began pitching in the minors for the Louisville Bats. He was promoted to the majors in September, and began the 2016 season as a relief pitcher for the Reds. He remained with the side on rotation, and then spent the 2019 season with the Chattanooga Lookouts. He didn’t play in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor leagues because of the Covid pandemic, and then in 2021 he spent the year with the Bats again. He was released by the Reds in November. The following month he signed a minor league contract with the Chicago White Sox.
Finnegan regularly connects with his legions followers and fans through Instagram, and Twitter, posting pictures and videos about his life around the field of dreams. He is also available for that personalised shout-out via the Cameo platform.
