Brennan O’Neill is a professional lacrosse player recognized for his exceptional talent and achievements, including the 2023 Tewaaraton Award and MVP of the World Lacrosse Championship, now playing for the Denver Outlaws and Philadelphia Wings. After leading the nation with 97 points and earning the prestigious Tewaaraton Award and Lt. Raymond Enners Award as the nation’s top player in 2023, Brennan O’Neill established himself as a dominant force in collegiate lacrosse. His exceptional talent was evident early, leading Long Island with 98 points while playing varsity for Bay Shore High School in eighth grade.
His international career began with a gold medal at the 2022 U-21 World Lacrosse Championships, where he led Team USA with 18 goals and 25 points. In 2023, O’Neill further solidified his international prowess by becoming the youngest player to represent the US in a World Championship since 2002. He was recognized as the tournament’s Best Midfielder and MVP after a standout performance that included five goals in the gold medal game against Canada. Transitioning to professional play, O’Neill made history in 2024 as the first overall pick in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) draft by the Denver Outlaws.
The same year, he was also drafted first overall by the Philadelphia Wings in the 2024 National Lacrosse League (NLL) draft, making him one of only four players ever to be selected first overall in both NLL and outdoor professional drafts.
