United States Britt Lightning is a virtuosic lead guitarist, musical director, and Northeastern University graduate, known for her diverse career across rock, pop, and Latin music.
As lead guitarist for Vixen and Musical Director at Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp, Britt Lightning relies on the Hughes & Kettner GrandMeister Deluxe 40.
Britt Lightning started working with Epiphone in 2019 and was hoping for a signature model to be released soon. She also uses Gibson Les Paul guitars.
Outside of her electric guitar endorsements, Britt Lightning also has a sponsorship with Taylor Guitars.

Brittany Denaro, known professionally as Britt Lightning, was born on February 2, 1985. She established her musical career early, performing in local clubs and bars in Massachusetts before acquiring a driver’s license. From 2004 to 2011, Lightning was a member of Jaded, an all-female hard rock band based in Boston. During her time with Jaded, the band released two albums, with the latter featuring tracks produced by Gary Katz. Jaded participated in several festivals, including Locobazooka, Rock 101, and WAAF, and toured Europe in 2006 to support W.A.S.P.
Lightning expanded her musical experience by joining the New York-based rock musical “Chix6” in 2011 as the character and guitarist “Lick.” Between 2012 and 2015, she toured globally with 18-time Grammy Award-winning artist Alejandro Sanz, supporting his album “La Música No Se Toca.” This album achieved significant success, reaching number one on the Mexican Top Album, Spanish Top Album, and Billboard US Latin Top Album charts. Lightning’s performances with Sanz included an appearance at the 2013 Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas, where she performed the single “No Me Compares.” In 2013, she also performed with Jason Derulo on “Live with Kelly and Michael” to promote his album “Tattoos.”
From 2015 to 2016, Lightning was the guitarist for Rachel Platten. During this period, she performed with Platten at various festivals and on national television programs such as “Good Morning America,” The “Today” Show, “Live with Kelly and Michael,” VH1, the 2015 Teen Choice Awards, Nickelodeon, and the 2016 finale of “America’s Got Talent.” In 2017, she became the lead guitarist for the all-female rock band Vixen, replacing Gina Stile. Vixen is recognized for its historical success, with over one million albums sold, six number one videos on MTV, and four songs on Billboard’s Top 100. Concurrently, Lightning serves as the Artistic Director for Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy Camp, where she teaches, books celebrity counselors, and hosts masterclasses. She graduated from Northeastern University in 2009 with a music business degree, which has supported her in managing the business aspects of her career.
