Brittany Denaro, known professionally as Britt Lightning, has established herself as a prominent figure in the rock music scene, particularly as the lead guitarist for the iconic all-female band Vixen. Her professional journey began with Jaded, an all-female hard rock band based in Boston, where she showcased her exceptional guitar skills from 2004 to 2011. During her tenure, Jaded released two albums, gaining recognition for their energetic performances at major festivals such as Locobazooka and Rock 101, and even touring Europe in support of W.A.S.P.
In 2011, Britt expanded her horizons by joining the New York-based rock musical Chix6, where she played the character and guitar player “Lick” at the Queens Theatre. This role allowed her to blend her musical talents with theatrical performance, further enhancing her versatility as an artist. Following this, from 2012 to 2015, she toured with the 18-time Grammy Award-winning artist Alejandro Sanz, contributing to his world tour that supported the acclaimed album La Música No Se Toca. Her performance at the 2013 Latin Grammy Awards alongside Sanz highlighted her ability to engage with diverse musical styles and audiences.
Britt’s career continued to flourish as she joined Rachel Platten from 2015 to 2016, where she played a pivotal role in promoting the hit single “Fight Song.” Her performances on national platforms such as Good Morning America and the Today Show showcased her talent to a wider audience, solidifying her reputation as a sought-after guitarist in the industry.
In 2017, Britt took on the role of guitarist for Vixen, the groundbreaking all-female rock band known for their significant impact in the 1980s music scene.
