Broderick Hunter

Broderick Hunter Jr. was born on January 3, 1991, in Fontana, California. Growing up, he developed a passion for basketball, playing for 15 years and earning various scholarships nationwide. He chose the University of Central Florida for his collegiate basketball career, but an injury prematurely ended his time on the court, leading him to return home. In 2010, he was presented with a modeling opportunity, signing with several agencies by 2011. This marked a significant turning point in his professional life, transitioning him from sports to the entertainment industry. His early modeling career quickly led to widespread recognition, notably for appearing alongside Ciara in her music video for “Sorry”. He further established himself as a prominent figure in fashion by becoming the face of campaigns for Ralph Lauren and securing features in prestigious publications such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and GQ.

Hunter’s career progression expanded into acting in 2017 with a guest star role on HBO’s series “Insecure,” where he played Felix. This was followed by appearances in sitcoms on FOX and NBC. He has also starred in various short films, including “Somewhere In The Grey,” which earned “Best Picture” awards and resulted in “Best Lead Actor” nominations for him at several festivals. His recent work includes roles in Bet Plus’s “Influence” and “California Love,” both of which were expected for release in 2020. Hunter has also performed voice work, notably for “The Local Pedestrian Population” in the video game “Red Dead Redemption II” in 2018.
