Morgan Francis Parriott, known professionally as Call Me Karizma, was born on April 28, 1995, in New Prague, Minnesota. He began writing songs at the age of 12, developing an early interest in music. His professional career officially commenced in 2015 when he embarked on a 35-date tour assisting American rappers Mod Sun and blackbear while still a sophomore in college. This early exposure helped establish his presence in the music scene. In 2016, Parriott released his debut album, “Uninvited.”
In 2018, Call Me Karizma signed with Arista Records, marking a significant step in his career. During this period, he released “The Gloomy Tapes, Vol. 1” in the summer of 2018, followed by “The Gloomy Tapes, Vol. 2” in February 2019. His single “Serotonin,” released in November 2018 under Arista, addressed themes of mental health, depression, and anxiety. The song “Monster (under my bed)” from “The Gloomy Tapes, Vol. 2” was featured in the television series “The Purge” and reached number 33 on the “Mainstream Rock Airplay” chart on March 30, 2019. He also collaborated with American DJ Illenium on the track “God Damnit” in November 2018. Over the years, he has completed four tours across the United States, opened for Wiz Khalifa, and worked with producer David Pramik.
After departing from Arista Records in March 2020, Call Me Karizma continued to release new music independently, including his second album, “To Hell With Hollywood,” in 2020. In July 2021, he signed with Thriller Records, a new label founded by Bob Becker. Later that year, he toured the United States to promote his EP “Bleached Serpent,” with several dates selling out. His music, characterized by a mix of pop, post-pop, hip-hop, and punk, has garnered a strong international fanbase, particularly in Germany, Russia, and Ukraine. In 2023, he married and in 2024, he and his wife welcomed a daughter, adding personal milestones to his professional journey.
