Callum Brown

Callum Brown is an Australian rules footballer currently playing for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). Initially selected as a medical sub for the Giants in round 11 against the Brisbane Lions on May 29, 2021, Brown didn’t get any game time and was subsequently dropped from the lineup. His first full match came later that season in round 21 against the Geelong Football Club, where he made a notable impact by kicking 2 goals from just 4 kicks.

As a Category B rookie, Brown faced challenges during the 2022 season, often serving as a medical substitute and struggling for consistent game time. His limited opportunities led him to contemplate a return to Ireland, where he had previously played football before joining the AFL. However, his fortunes changed in round 16 against Hawthorn when he replaced the injured Lachlan Keeffe and delivered an outstanding performance, kicking a career-high 4 goals and being named among the best players on the field.
