The glamorous and wonderful award-winning actress, producer, writer and animal advocate Carolyn Hennesy is still best known for her recurring role as Mrs Valentine in the hit TV series, Dawson’s Creek, and for playing Diane Miller in the popular TV soap, General Hospital. She is the 2001 recipient of the prestigious Natalie Schafer Award for Outstanding Comedic Actress given by the Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, and won her first Daytime Emmy Award for her role in Amazon’s The Bay. She is also the author of the beloved Pandora children’s book series, as well as of the New York Times Bestseller, The Secret Life of Damian Spinelli. Away from acting and writing, she is notable for her work promoting AZA zoos and aquariums, as well as for promoting accredited marine parks. And, believe it or not, she is also a flying trapeze artist!
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Hennesy has been interested in performing and acting since she was four-years-old. She trained at the American Conservatory Theatre, and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, and also earned a dramatic scholarship to the California State University at Northridge. She made her acting debut in 1991 with a small part in the TV movie, Visitors from the Unknown, and since then has gone on to star and feature in countless stage, film and TV productions, including That ’70s Show, Cougar Town, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, True Blood, Click, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. And as a voice actress, she has worked on many animations and video games, including Lego Star Wars: All Stars, and Blade Runner: Revelations.
