Catherine Taber is an accomplished American actress best known for nearly 20 years of voice acting in TV shows, films, and video games. She has shared ensemble BVTA Awards for her work voicing the character of Padme Amidala in Star Wars: Clone Wars and Lori Loud in The Loud House. She is also an audiobook narrator and can be heard reading numerous Star Wars books. Among her most recent projects are a Loud House spinoff called The Casagrandes and the video game Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
Despite her success as a voice actress, Taber’s first notable industry break came when she starred in the 2000 coming-of-age film The Girls’ Room alongside Soleil Moon Frye and Wil Wheaton. Her association with Star Wars began three years later with her video game debut: voicing Mission Vao in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which became revered as one of the greatest video games ever made and a highly influential part of the expanded Star Wars universe. She has gone on to add her voice to other major games of the last 20 years, including ones in the Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil franchises.
Taber’s television voice-acting breakthrough also came with Star Wars when she began voicing Padme Amidala in Star Wars: Clone Wars. The series ran for six years and was revived in 2020. Taber continues to voice Amidala in spin-off films and video games. Since 2016, she has also voiced Lori Loud (among other characters) in the hit Nickelodeon animated series, The Loud House, which has gained consistently high ratings since it first aired.
