Chandler Riggs is an American actor who first made a name for himself when he was just 10 years old — playing Carl Grimes in the hit AMC horror series, The Walking Dead. He played the part for eight years, winning three Saturn Awards for Best Young Actor and a Young Artist Award. Now in his early twenties, he has continued to flourish thanks to a recurring role as PJ in the ABC family drama series, A Million Little Things. 2023 also sees him voice Clark Kent aka Superman in the animated series, Justice League x Rwby. Away from acting, he is also an avid gameplay streamer and has 180,000 subscribers to his YouTube channel and 300,000 subscribers to his Twitch channel. He also has an incredible 3.4 million followers on Instagram, plus a further 1.4 million followers on Twitter.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, in June 1999, Riggs began acting when he was just four years old, performing in theatre productions in Atlanta. He made his film debut when he was five, and when he was 10, he got the break of a lifetime when he was cast as Carl Grimes, one of the central characters in The Walking Dead. The show would go on to run for 11 seasons, with Riggs appearing in eight of them and returning for a cameo in 2022.
Since leaving the show, Riggs has continued to establish himself way beyond being “that kid from The Walking Dead”. His streaming, charity work, and current role in the popular A Million Little Things are just some of this gifted young actor’s achievements.
