Charlie Davies

Following a standout collegiate career at Boston College, where he was also named to the Soccer America and College Soccer News Freshman All-America teams, Davies signed his first professional contract with Hammarby IF in Sweden in December 2006. During his tenure, he made 55 appearances, scoring 21 goals, including an impressive 15 goals in the 2008 season. His exceptional performance led to a transfer to Ligue 1 club Sochaux in July 2009, marking his progression into top-tier European football. Davies’ career faced a significant challenge in October 2009 due to a serious car accident, but he demonstrated remarkable resilience, returning to training with Sochaux by April 2010.

Following his recovery, Davies joined D.C. United on loan in February 2011, making an immediate impact with two goals in his debut. He quickly became a pivotal player, leading Major League Soccer (MLS) in scoring with six goals by May and recording a hat-trick against Chivas USA. Davies later moved to Randers FC in Denmark, where he made 23 appearances.

He now serves as a respected TV and media soccer analyst and host, providing expert insights and commentary across various platforms. Beyond his media work, Davies holds influential ambassador roles, representing prestigious organizations such as the U.S. Soccer Foundation and Nike, where he advocates for the growth and development of soccer. Further cementing his post-playing career, Davies became the first-ever club ambassador for the New England Revolution, contributing to diverse business operations including fan and community relations, as well as corporate partnerships.

His commitment extends to community involvement as a dedicated member of the Boston Children’s Hospital Philanthropic Board. Through these roles, Davies continues to make a significant impact on and off the pitch, utilizing his platform to promote the sport and support philanthropic initiatives.
