Cherif Younousse Samba was born on May 22, 1995, in Senegal. He later became a Qatari citizen and began representing Qatar in beach volleyball. Younousse, standing at 1.94 meters (6 ft 4 in) and weighing 77 kg (170 lb), quickly developed into a formidable player known for his strong attacking and blocking abilities.
His career saw a significant turning point when he partnered with Ahmed Tijan. Together, they achieved notable success, competing in prestigious tournaments and making a mark in the global beach volleyball circuit. This partnership led to numerous achievements and cemented their position as one of the top beach volleyball teams.
Younousse has represented Qatar in multiple Olympic Games and secured a bronze medal for his country, a historic achievement for Qatar in beach volleyball.
