Born to a Chinese-Filipino father and American mother in Taiwan, Christina Chang is an actress known for her roles in 24, CSI: Miami, and several other popular television series. After appearing as Dr. Audrey Lim in the debut season of ABC’s The Good Doctor, she began her role as a main character in the hit show’s second season in 2018.
Chang grew up in Taiwan and moved to America to study theatre and film when she was 17 years old. Her acting career soon took off in the late nineties with roles in feature films including Random Hearts and 28 Days. In 2003, she began making recurring appearances in L.A. Dragnet and started her role as Dr. Sunny Macer in 24, a character featured in three seasons of the Fox series. She made her debut as State Attorney Rebecca Nevins in CSI: Miami in 2004 and continued to appear in the legendary drama through 2010. She’s made appearances in dozens of other television series including The West Wing, Boston Legal, Numb3rs, The Mentalist, Suits, and NCIS alongside recurring roles in Desperate Housewives, Nashville, and Rizzoli & Isles.
In 2017, Chang appeared as Dr. Audrey Lim in The Good Doctor and was promoted to a series regular the following season. One of the most recognizable Asian American actresses on television, she is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and passionate about travelling the world and helping underprivileged youth.
