Christopher Gibson

Christopher Gibson is a professional ice hockey goaltender with a career spanning various leagues, including the NHL. He has consistently demonstrated resilience and skill throughout his progression from junior hockey to the highest levels of the sport. After contributing to the midget AAA team winning the Telus Cup national championship in 2009, Christopher Gibson went on to establish himself as a standout goaltender in junior hockey. He was drafted as the first goaltender in the 2009 Canadian Hockey League import draft by the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), where his consistent performance earned significant recognition.

In 2010, Gibson secured a bronze medal with Finland in the IIHF World U18 Championships. His junior career culminated in 2011 with his selection to the QMJHL First All-Star Team and being named the top goaltender from the QMJHL prior to the NHL Entry Draft. Demonstrating his high potential, he was subsequently drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round, 49th overall, in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. Gibson officially embarked on his professional journey by signing with the Toronto Maple Leafs on July 19, 2013.

More recently, Gibson has showcased his talents internationally, playing for Lukko in the Finnish Liiga, and currently serves as a key goaltender for H.C. Nové Zámky in the Slovak Extraliga, underscoring his enduring skill and versatility across various top-tier professional leagues.
