Chyna Layne is an American actress and producer known for her roles in film and television, including ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ and ‘Judge Me Not.’ After making her screen debut in the 2007 HBO made-for-television movie Life Support, executive produced by Jamie Foxx and Queen Latifah, Chyna Layne went on to establish a dynamic career as an actress and producer. The same year, she took on a leading role and served as a producer for the independent drama film A Deeper Love. Layne’s foundational training includes rigorous study with the CityKids Repertory Company, where she performed alongside notable figures such as Robin Williams and Demi Moore. She further distinguished her craft at the Black Spectrum Theatre, receiving a full scholarship and an Audelco Award for Best Ensemble for her performance in the musical A Trip to Nowhere.
Beyond her acting and producing credits, Layne is a highly skilled martial artist, specializing in eskrima and wushu, which has enabled her to perform her own stunts in action features such as Shaolyn Jones and The Chyna Layne Chronicles. Further expanding her creative footprint, she co-founded Lawrence Layne Productions with Rayan Lawrence. Through this venture, Layne has been instrumental in developing projects, including the romantic feature A Deeper Love and the thriller short Blue Mountain Lake, where she made her screenwriting debut.
