Sojourner Brown is a fantastic young actor based in New York City, best known for her work with huge international brands including the global entertainment giant Disney, the television channel ABC, Freeform, and her incredible vocals that are featured in a variety of different projects, including her performance at the 2017 Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall.
This multi-talented artist has a beautiful voice, and fans can listen to Brown on projects including the Incredibles 2 official soundtrack, and spot her in her guest spot on season sixteen of hit reality singing competition American Idol. However, her biggest role came with Walt Disney Records, where she filled the alto position in the popular acapella group DCappella, Disney Music Group’s creation that over the course of their career has racked up hundreds of millions of views on their videos, covering and remixing Disney classics for the new generation of Disney lovers. The group not only performed at the Hollywood Bowl for Disney’s Beauty And The Beast, they have completed international tours across North America and Japan and have headlined at Carnegie Hall for Deke Sharon’s Total Vocal concert.
However, outside of her work at Disney, Brown has completed a wide range of personal projects encompassing her selection of skills. She has recently released a spoken word film combined with a dance piece, titled Your Body Is A Catechism. She wrote, choreographed and produced the piece herself, and has also produced many artist exhibitions across New York City to promote inclusivity for marginalized voices in the world of art.
