Cj Mccollum

CJ McCollum is a professional NBA player known for his significant contributions to multiple teams and his active role in journalism and philanthropy. After becoming the first player in Patriot League history to be named both Player and Rookie of the Year in his freshman 2009–10 season, CJ McCollum established a formidable collegiate career at Lehigh University. During this debut season, he averaged 19.1 points and 5 rebounds per game. Prior to his university success, McCollum began building his basketball foundation at GlenOak High School, where he became the leading scorer with 1,405 career points and was recognized as the Gatorade Ohio Player of the Year in 2008–09.

McCollum continued to excel at Lehigh, securing the Patriot League Player of the Year title again in 2012 and earning the Patriot League Tournament MVP distinction the same year. His collegiate career culminated as the Patriot League’s all-time leading scorer with an impressive 2,361 points, further complemented by his commitment to academics, completing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Transitioning to professional play, McCollum was selected tenth overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2013 NBA draft, marking him as the first player from Lehigh to enter the NBA. After his NBA debut in January 2014, his career experienced a significant turning point in the 2015–16 season.

In July 2025, McCollum was traded to the Washington Wizards, further cementing his journey through the league as a seasoned veteran and influential figure.
