Cody Wickline is the hunky and unique country singing star that made a name for himself with his performance on season eight of hit television singing competition The Voice.
A self-taught guitar player that sang in the church choir as a child, Wickline has gone on to establish his own style of song and develop his skills while still being a promising and dedicated nursing student on the side. He is now one of the most in-demand country artists rising through the ranks, after playing a wide array of local shows and venues around his native Beckley in West Virginia and together with a classmate producing his own self-made music videos to garner more interest in his music. All his efforts paid off when two long-time fans sponsored his audition to The Voice that showcased his talents to the nation and while he initially turned down the kind offer, it wasn’t long before a talent scout from the show approached him instead. After leaving the show, Wickline began talks with several producers, but failed to find any that truly understood his music, so made the bold move to self-produce, and teamed up with veteran singer and producer Billy Yates in order to get his music heard. Together, they recorded and released Wickline’s first album in 2016, titled Son Of A Working Man to fantastic reviews.
Wickline has not only performed at the WV State Fair multiple times, and opened for John Michael Montgomery, he has also performed in venues as far flung as Norway, and his YouTube videos have had thousands of views.
