Cold Hart is a musician and producer recognized for his role in the GothBoiClique collective, contributing to the evolution of emo rap and alternative hip-hop. After co-founding the influential GothBoiClique (GBC) collective in 2012, Cold Hart rapidly established himself as a pivotal figure in the evolution of emo rap and alternative hip-hop. Emerging from the internet rap underground during the late blog era, GBC, which included artists like Wicca Phase Springs Eternal and Horse Head, was instrumental in shaping a musical movement throughout the 2010s. This collective famously blended 2000s rock influences with contemporary Soundcloud hip-hop aesthetics, redefining punk and emo genres.

The album features tracks such as ‘2017’ and ‘Rap Show,’ which serve as acknowledgements of his hip-hop origins and emo leanings. Other standout songs, including ‘Bottle Run Dry’ and ‘Bold Riley,’ delve into deeply personal emotions, utilizing delicate piano arrangements, guitar-driven soundscapes, and rhythmic bass and 808s. Over this period, he further refined his distinctive talk-singing delivery, incorporating layered harmonies and falsettos to create a vulnerable and unique sonic signature. Demonstrating consistent output, Cold Hart released the single ‘Silver Stars’ in 2021, followed by ‘The OC Season 3’ in 2022.
