Damian Willemse

Damian Willemse is a professional rugby union player from South Africa, known for his versatility and multiple World Cup victories. After representing Western Province at the Under-16 Grant Khomo Week in 2014, starting all three matches and scoring a try in the final, Damian Willemse went on to establish himself as a versatile and formidable rugby talent. He continued his rapid progression, playing for the Western Province Craven Week side in both 2015 and 2016, where his strong performances included multiple tries. His consistent play earned him coveted call-ups to the South Africa Schools team in both 2015 and 2016, where he started in pivotal matches and contributed to clean sweeps in international series, marking him as a key emerging player.

He has actively partnered with the non-profit organization One Tree Planted, alongside sponsors Vida e Caffe and Adidas, to lead impactful clean-up efforts on Strand Beach. His commitment extends to practical action, having personally overseen the planting of over 500 trees in his local community, addressing critical environmental concerns and demonstrating a significant off-field impact.
