Dana Rettke is an American professional volleyball player who has left an indelible mark on the sport. Born on January 21, 1999, in Riverside, Illinois, Rettke is one of the most successful beach and indoor volleyball athletes of her generation.

Her love for volleyball began at a young age when she watched her older sister play, and it wasn’t long before she found herself falling in love with the game. Her ability to read the court and anticipate her opponents’ moves has become her signature, making her a valuable member of whatever team she plays for.

Rettke’s collegiate volleyball career started at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she played for the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team, which clinched a Big Ten championship. During her time at the university, she received numerous accolades, including the prestigious 2020 Honda Award, which honors the best female college athlete in each sport.

In 2021, she completed her senior year, and the Big Ten awarded her the Female Athlete of the Year. This was in recognition of her contributions to the game and her incredible performance in collegiate volleyball.
